Introducing Project Sunshine and TelePlay

We are thrilled to be joined by our friends, Meg Kellett, Director of Pediatric Experience and Kyra Hu, Program Coordinator at Project Sunshine for a webinar about their virtual program, TelePlay! Project Sunshine is a 20+ year old, international nonprofit that brings joy and play opportunities to children and families across the U.S., and their team is excited to speak with our community about all of their wonderful programs. Project Sunshine offers three free programs to support their partners: in-person volunteers, TelePlay (virtual) live games and activities, and activity kits all via dedicated and well-trained volunteers. Meg & Kyra

  

  • Meg Kellett, Director of Pediatric Experience
    Meg oversees the development of programs and medical facility and nonprofit partnerships. Meg’s passion for pediatrics led her to pursue a career as a Certified Child Life Specialist, supporting patients and families both in and out of the hospital setting. Prior to working with Project Sunshine, Meg worked in at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Patient Experience to innovate and enhance numerous pediatric programs. At Cohen Children’s Medical Center of NY, Meg was the lead CCLS of the inpatient surgical unit. As a once former employee of Project Sunshine, Meg is thrilled to return to Project Sunshine yet again to further the reach of its newest program, TelePlay.
  • Kyra Hu, Program Coordinator
    As Program Coordinator, Kyra supports the delivery and management of Project Sunshine’s programs including TelePlay, “Sending Sunshine” Activity Kits, and in-person volunteering. Prior to working with Project Sunshine, Kyra was involved in the education field through various teaching fellowships and mentorship positions and is very happy to continue helping children in this role. Kyra graduated from Brown University in 2021 with Bachelors of Arts in Engineering and Education Studies.
